Greene County Community School District voted to build a new 100,000 sqft high school facility in Jefferson, Iowa, that would house grades 9 to 12. This new facility includes classrooms, faculty offices, study rooms, a competition gymnasium, and a performing arts center. Precast concrete was chosen as the primary exterior structure material and featured both white and black colored panels with a sandblast finish. The building’s large windows allow plenty of natural light for students to focus in a bright environment. Precast provides safety and structure to the building as concrete panels are durable and storm-resistant.
