In 2007, Mike Decker and his team embraced a challenge that led to the creation of Advanced Precast Company, Inc. (APC). Drawing from over two decades of experience in leading concrete-based construction projects through his business, Decker Concrete, Inc. (established in 1996), The exceptional work on a 34,000 sqft facility project in the local tri-state area caught the attention of general contractors and developers, resulting in a surge of requests for similar precast wall panel work. In response to this high demand, Mike and a small group of investors confidently founded APC in 2008.
Since its inception, APC has undergone remarkable growth and advancement within the precast industry. The company now provides top-notch precast services for projects across the Midwest, firmly establishing itself as a leading force in the industry.
In addition to expanding internal departments and offering additional precast products throughout the years, we have continued to grow in extended markets across the Midwest, allowing for internal and external growth. Our internal growth has made us a stronger precast company for our current clients and future customers.
In the summer of 2019, APC started operating from its new batch plant facility, which is situated next to its production factory in Dyersville, IA. The addition of the batch plant enables APC to use its concrete mixes for producing panels and other structures. Being close to the factory allows for faster and more efficient production.
In 2024, APC’s Batch Plant underwent an expansion to add 35,000 sqft of under-roof facility space. This expansion was carried out to support our growth while still maintaining the high quality that sets us apart from others.
Since starting in 2020, APC’s logistics team has continued to develop and grow. Our specialized logistics drivers deliver our product safely and efficiently to job sites to keep construction moving. In addition to product delivery, they are responsible for hauling admixtures, concrete materials, and more. The team’s dedication and expertise in managing a wide range of materials contribute to the smooth operation of our precast production, ensuring that our products reach our customers on time and in top condition.
